Discover County Lands

With more than 2100 acres of undeveloped land that includes old farms, forest, fields, streams, and wetlands, Sullivan County provides opportunities for people to connect to the natural world and each other. ​

The Natural Resource Department has created 6.5 miles of hiking trails so far which includes the 4 mile Unity Mountain Trail with a half mile Barrette Trail extension as well as the Glidden Ridge 2 mile loop trail.

The Eco Ag Center at the Sullivan County Complex in Unity is another beautiful place to visit. It includes a community garden, pond with a fishing dock, pollinator garden, Jessie's trail (nature trail), and a forest classroom.

For educators and home schoolers, we offer FREE Field Trips to County Lands with over 20 programs to choose from for grades K-12 including these ones:
