Explore the Great Outdoors this Summer

There are many opportunities for families to enjoy the outdoors together this summer and learn something at the same time. Check out these ideas below!

Visit Public Trails & Conservation Areas - The Upper Valley Land Trust (UVLT) prioritizes public access to natural areas. Follow the link to a map and annotated list of these public spaces. Also explore Sullivan County Lands, town forests, and other public lands this summer.

Love Sullivan County - Check out a map of some people's favorite built places, green spaces, and things to do in Sullivan County.

Super Quest - The Super Quest is a fun challenge that Vital Communities organizes every year. To complete the challenge, participants have from May 1 to November 1 to register and collect stamp impressions from a select number of featured Quests. Every year, completed submissions receive a special patch and are entered into a grand prize drawing! This year’s Super Quest challenge is celebrating Vital Communities’ 25th anniversary by spotlighting their Top 25 Quests! Though you only need to complete 5 quests to complete the challenge.

Saint Gaudens National Historic Site - National Parks and Historic Sites are a great place for summer discoveries! History, hiking trails, gardens, concerts on the lawn, sculpture in residence and ranger-led programs make St. Gauden's a great place to visit this summer.

The orginal artwork from the Seed Packet Art Project will be exhibited at St. Gaudens in the Caretaker's Garage for the entire month of July. They also hold a Summer Day Camp for middle school students entering grades 6-8 that takes place from July 22 -16; 9:00am -3:30pm. Registration is still open. Claremont Parks & Rec - Outdoor programs for all ages, Summer Outdoor Adventure & Recreation (SOAR) Camp, and Reach the Peak, a 5K obstacle course at Arrowhead are only a few things going on this summer in Claremont.
